Brittany Outfit #3

The final outfit. It may look like two different ones b/c she was wearing her furry vest for half of the time, and the other time she wasn't. This look came from a photo I saw of another model, Brittany said that she had clothes similar so viola, the look was made. The one was harder to shoot than the others. The lighting wasn't working for me, but I really do like the way the bark contrasts with the white. I think it's lovely. =)

As of this moment I don't really have any upcoming shoots. I've been emailing people, but I haven't gotten much response. So I guess I'm forced to take a break. I will use this time to come up with ideas and of course maybe go to shows. I hope you all are having a lovely weekend. Weather here in LA is warm and sunny. I hope you are as lucky!

Brittany- outfit 2

So, how are you guys doing on this lovely Monday night? Hopefully good! I am going to post some photos up of outfit number 2. Now I actually haven't gone through all of these photos yet, but I will post what I have b/c I feel very proud of them. This look has a Japanese feel to me. The clothes are mine, the socks are hers. These stairs are outside of the library at CSUN. There were all of these little kids where we were orginally going to shoot, which ended up being good, b/c these stairs went perfectly with her outfit! There is this photographer I really admire and this style is similar to what he does. So enjoy!

Brittany- outfit 1

Before I did this shoot with Brittany, I had a lot of cancellations, so I decided to try to put together some of the shoots that cancelled together with the idea I had orginally told B about. I'm still in the mist of all of the editing. But I will post what I have done so far. This is look number one. It is kind of based on the black and white guess ads, and kind of based on the spread Nylon did on Mila Kunis. All of these photos were taken at Csun. sorry to all the professors that couldn't use the restroom b/c we were in there. Who knew it was so popular? All of the make up is done by B herself, and the clothes are hers also.

Kit

This is the lovely Kit. We met up in Hollywood. Walked around until we found back alleys and walls full of ivy to shoot at. The day started off cloudy and rainy. But the sun would peek out, giving us this lovely soft light. The only bad part was random vomit. Blah. Oh and awkwardness with aqaintances.

new series

After having more the more than usual amount of cancellations, I have decided that I am not doing any bigger shoots right now. The last minute cancels bum me out, plus I do all the prepration for what feels like nothing. So I am going to start a series of more relaxed, chill shots. I don't know how they will turn out. I'm mostly asking males to shoot b/c they tend to flake out less than girls. We will see. I'm not holding my breath about anything much b/c my life has been filled with lots of let downs lately. I need to continue to figure out what I want out of photography. All I know is that I feel this need to take photos. I will do some more editing this weekend. So stay tuned... =)

Elias

Elias!!!! Haha. We did this shoot in Pasadena. It was your basic shoot. He wanted to shoot in front of this cool looking church called All Saint's. The shoot was pretty uneventful. We did notice lots and lots of other photographers there. I was like wow, when did photography became trendy. And I saw this awful dad, if he was this little girl's dad, and I almost called the police on him. He was cussing her out and slapped her all b/c she dropped her doll. I was so angry and upset.

Things haven't been going my way this weekend. I'm hoping that next weekend is better. So until then, enjoy your sunday. =)

Hopes

Wouldn't it be cool if one day I could put out a photography book? I would love to do a series of photos just for something like that. Like maybe follow someone around for a month and take photos of their lives. Or doing street photos. Or even just the day and the life of a child therapist. Haha. I would love to do photos that were a bit more raw. That's hard for me b/c my photos always seem so "pretty." Even when I want for them to be raw, they are pretty. My mom is here this weekend so editing is on hold. So until next weekend! Enjoy the lovely weather!
