Friday was one of those days where I was sleep deprived.  Maybe that helped make the day a good day despite obstacles that tried to challenge my mood.  Sometimes you just need to hang out with friends and laugh.  Forget all the bullshit and just laugh.  I walked around West Hollywood with Shawn that day, looking for graffiti and interesting places to shoot.  The day was gorgeous, sunny, breezy, a nice day to spend the whole day outside. 

Below are the photos of Teresa.  I really love how some of them turned out.  Couldn't have asked for better.  My favorite place, a beauitful model, what more can a photographer ask for?

2012

So much of my energy for 2012 has gone to my Music is Power group at work.  It has been this empowering and life awakening experience for me.  It has made me realize that I can want more and actually be willing to fight to get it.  Plus I have been lucky to have been able to see some of my favorite musicians come in and experience my group.  The rest of 2012 has gone out studying for my (stupid) licensure exam.  So many Saturdays have come and gone with me trying to put all of this info in my poor tired head.  I'm writing all of this because unfortunetly, I haven't been able to invest as much as I want into photography.  I just don't have the time or the thought space.  I do want to thank all of your for still reading this blog and following my journey. Photography will always be a passion of mine and as much as possible, I want to go out and shoot, shoot, shoot!  There are more shoots and hopefully more adventures out there for me.  I will keep you updated. =)

I love Hollywood, walking the streets, finding new hide outs.  Thanks for Tyler and his lady for walking the streets of Hollywood with me.  I theme for this shoot was apparently cigs and shades.  What can I say, this straightedge girl is a sucker for cigarette shoots.

Saturday morning beauty

A bright, beautiful, warm, and windy Saturday morning.  It was the perfect weather kind of day.  The kind of day where you wake up at 7am and don't mind.  You get to the beach around 10am, just sit on a bench watching the medical marijuana place try to entice people to come in.  You get a phone call, turn around to the waving girl, okay, now it's time to get started.  She gets her make up done in her car by one of her friends who is a make up artist.  Another friend is a cinimatographer who is testing out his new camera.  Tourists walk by, watching us, wondering what is going on.  I'm just happy to be out in the sun on this gorgeous day.  The crew walked around Venice, getting photos, stopping at different locations, having fun with different looks.  It was one of those days where you can't help but think about how lucky you are, to be surrounded by decent people, even the new people are turning out to be amazing.  There will always be people out there who want to bring you down.  There will always be badness.  But there are so many more good days and good people.  I don't know when the photos will be up b/c my computer is ill.  But soon I hope!
