I was looking for right

Two days in a row in the Woods of Holly, one West on the Strip, the other near the touristy tourist trap on Hollywood Blvd. Both girls of Russian or near Russian decent. Day 1 was cloudy, somewhat cold, on an almost deserted strip. People must not frequent it so early in the morning. The model was visiting for the summer. We were going for an old school Hollywood glamour look. Didn't quite turn out the way we wanted. The stylist cancelled and I couldn't find another. Even when things don't turn out the way you planned, you can still make progress and get something. It means me telling the model, okay stand against this wall, yeah right there. Who knew the yuckiness behind the Viper Room was so photogenic?
Day 2: The total opposite of day 1. Sunny, hot, and packed with people. I was like where did these hellians come from? Instead of fighting the darkness of the day trying to find light. It was fighting the brightness of the day to find shade. I know we got some lovely shots. Sometimes finding a random tire can be the best thing ever. Be on the lookout for new photos! I will be in editing mode the rest of the weekend.

Setting the scene

Imagine vast landscape filled with oil rigs right in the middle of the big bad city. The sky is blue. The wind is blowing. The sun is heating up the land. Cars are slowing down to stare at you and the pink clad model with you. This was the scene of my shoot over the weekend. It was a quicky shoot. But really nice to discover this landscape in the middle of the city. Instead of seeming dirty and environmentally unfriendly. It actually looked pretty cool. Not sure what that says about me. Photos coming soon!

Upcoming

Now that my first contest is over and I am officially caught up with all of my editing. It's time to get back to shooting. My little project didn't completely bring me inspiration, but I am ready to get back behind the camera and try to make some beautiful pictures. I hope soon you guys will have more photos to view and little tibits to read!

I went on a little mini adventure during my last photoshoot. My little trip to a suburban town with a little hiking trail with paint ball and a waterfall turned into a jungle hike in the Amazon with a guerilla camp along the way. Sometimes using your imagination makes something interesting even more so. Especially since it was 9am in the morning. Here is the lovely Meghan. Make up and clothes are done by her. I just took the photos.
